Simply Circles - Simply Stunning

I can honestly say that this card ended up being a real surprise to me. Such a simple concept but boy does it pack a punch.

What I really wanted to do was find another way to use my circle dies and this was the result.

I started with a standard A6 card base from white card stock - I cut an A4 piece of paper in half lengthwise and then folded it in half. This then gave me the A6 card base that I have used with the fold at the top - a tent fold.

I used black card stock as a mat for my design - this piece is 10.2cm x 14.5cm. This gives a nice narrow border when attached to the card base.

The circle dies were attached to one another on the back side with Washi Tape (sorry I didn't take a photo). This enabled me to make sure they were all lined up straight so my circles were even. I cut out 4 circles from red card stock (I used Stampin' Up Cherry Cobbler) and 6 circles from white card stock. I didn't use them all but I have kept the leftovers to use on another project.

I did spend a little bit of time moving all of the circles around, putting some on, taking others off and then changing them all again until I was happy with the look. When I was happy, I used some Aileen's Tacky Glue to stick them down - except the solid white circle that has the greeting on it.

Originally, the solid white circle was going to have a stamped greeting on it, but I then decided to die cut the 'hello' for the card. I ended up cutting 3 'hello' dies in white and 1 in red. I then stuck them all together to give some height and dimension to the card.

The white sentiment embellishment has been popped up on the card with some craft foam. I attached this to the card with some glue.

I also used my hole punch to cut the three small circles that you can see on the card. I felt that the card needed something more, so I added Diamond Glaze to the word 'Hello' and to the three small circles.

To finish off, I attached some more craft foam to the back of the black mat using double sided tape and then attached this to the card base - also using double sided tape.

I had great fun making this card and hope you do too. You can check out out video on YouTube here.

Have a happy crafting day and I'll catch ya later!

Cheers,

Donna.
