Every card starts with one thought - I’m thinking of you and I care.
This card was ‘inspired’ by a friend who was going through a very rough time and I wanted her to know that although there was nothing I could to ease her pain, I was thinking of her and I cared.
The card base and top mat are a lovely cream card from Stampin’ Up - I believe it is called Very Vanilla. The bottom mat is just plain black and I have embossed the top mat layer with a hexagon embossing folder (I think this is a Spellbinders folder) using my Cuttlebug.
I have made this a gate fold card in a specific size to fit a specific box envelop that I purchased via eBay. This particular box is 10cm wide x 18cm high x 20mm deep and counts as a large letter in Australia.
The top embellishment is made from an oval cut out of Very Vanilla card using a Nestabilities oval, once again in my Cuttlebug. I also cut out some leaves using a die that I have no idea where it came from and some different shades of green from my stash.
The stamp sentiment that I used also came from Stampin' Up - 'thoughtful Branches' and I made the flowers using old book pages and a small flower punch.
